When/ How to Eat: Lychee has a tough brittle exterior that can be easily pierced with your fingernail when ripe. Remember to remove the pit before consuming. You can determine the ripeness by the color, when ripe the fruit will turn a lush red or pink color.

Where it Grows: We recommend planting the seed found within the flesh of the Lychee. Native to Southeast Asia, Lychee thrives in subtropical regions, the trees can be grown in USDA zones: 10 through 11.

Nutritional Value:  Contains an essential amount of copper which can help prevent anemia  Lychee is known to stimulate the libido because of the abundance of important components like potassium, copper, and vitamin C  Proanthocyanidins that carry very powerful antiviral properties.
