When/ How to Eat: The ripeness of a Sugar Apple can be determined by its color and feel. When unripe, the fruit will have a bright green color, and when ripe, it will turn to a yellowish-green color. A ripe fruit will yield slightly under pressure when squeezed.

Where it Grows: Sugar Apple is native to the tropical regions of the Americas and West Indies. It can be grown in USDA zones: 10 through 11. We recommend planting the seeds found within the fruit to grow your own tree.
